Introduction

We offer a wide range of high-quality ultrasound exams, performed by our experienced female technologists in a compassionate and professional setting. All ultrasound procedures require a valid physician or nurse practitioner requisition and are available by appointment only.

Services Offered

  • Abdominal Ultrasound: Imaging of liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys – used for pain, abnormalities, stones, or swelling.
  • Pelvic Ultrasound (Female & Male)
    • Female: uterus, ovaries, bladder
    • Male: bladder, prostate. For spotting, pain, infertilities, and more.
  • Obstetrical Ultrasound: All OBS, NT, Dating, BPP, Serving both low risk and high risk pregnancies with accuracy and care.
  • Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound: Soft tissues in joints and limbs—ideal for shoulders, knees, ankles, etc.
  • Small Parts Ultrasound: Breast, thyroid, scrotal/testicular, lumps, and other focused areas.
  • Transvaginal & Transrectal Ultrasound
    • Transvaginal for female pelvic detail
    • Transrectal for prostate and scrotal imaging.

Booking Required: You can request an ultrasound appointment in one of the following ways:

Please do not include your OHIP number or any sensitive medical details in the email. Our team will contact you to confirm your appointment.
Bring: OHIP/IFHP card and signed requisition.
Note: You can use the requisition from your doctor, for another clinic or hospital.

Preparation:
o General Information
Please follow the preparation instructions below to ensure accurate results.
Always bring your requisition form and valid health card (OHIP/IFHP) to your appointment.

🧭 Ultrasound Preparation Instructions:
Abdominal: Do not eat or drink for 9 hours before your exam.
Pelvic / OB (Dating, NT, Routine): Drink 4–6 cups of water 1 hour before. Do not urinate. A full bladder is necessary.( preparation for OB very depends on the gestational age , for more information call at 416-977-2548)
MSK / Breast / Thyroid / Scrotal: No preparation required.
❗ Notes:
• Please arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment.
• If you are pregnant or might be pregnant, inform staff before your exam.
• For walk-in X-rays, patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

FEES

🧾 Introductory Notice:
If you do not have government-funded health insurance (e.g., OHIP), you are required to pay the procedure fee, which includes both technical and professional components, as outlined below.
One CD copy is provided free of charge upon request. Additional CDs or third-party transfers may incur fees.
Cash payment only is accepted for uninsured services.
If you believe that you have been incorrectly charged for an insured service or for access to an insured service, please contact the management of Eglinton Danforth Radiology at clinic@edradiology.com.
